Police said officers responded to a call for an assault and battery in progress in the area of 408 E. Third St. When officers arrived, the victim said he had been kicked and punched by two men after a verbal confrontation regarding a loud noise.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, told NBC10 Boston he had been returning home from a birthday celebration when he asked a rowdy group to quiet down.
"At that point I just said, 'guys let's keep it moving, people have kids in the neighborhood,'" recalled the victim.
That's when he says he was assaulted.
Neighbors called police and first responders rushed him to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
"I had a torn pectoral muscle and took quite a few punches," said the victim. "My head was bleeding all over."
Looking at the video, the victim says he's thankful to be alive.
"Looking at it and the fact I was released, I was very fortunate to be able to walk away and just be in there for a night," he said.
One suspect was described as 6'1" tall with blonde hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect had black hair and was wearing a black polo shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information on the assault or the suspect's identities is urged to contact Boston Police at 617-343-4742.
