A man volunteering at a Pawtucket, Rhode Island polling place was arrested after another poll worker told police he offered to perform a sex act on him for $5.

The Pawtucket Times reports that 38-year-old William Seiler of Pawtucket was volunteering at a polling place in a public housing development during Tuesday's primary elections.

Maj. Arthur Martins says a man in his 20s who was also volunteering told police that Seiler told him to go into the bathroom and he would charge him $5 to perform a sex act.

The man was so appalled he called police.

Seiler was charged with loitering for prostitution. He was arraigned Wednesday and released on personal recognizance.

A message left at a phone listing for Seiler was not immediately returned.
