Several people were injured after a motor vehicle accident involving a RIPTA bus in Providence, Rhode Island, on Tuesday.
A RIPTA spokesperson said several passengers and the bus driver were taken to the hospital following the accident.
The bus ran onto the sidewalk, knocking down a street lamp at Francis and Gaspee Street.
The windshield of the bus was reportedly smashed and the doors were ripped off.
This accident comes just a month after a RIPTA bus hit a building in Warwick, injuring three people.
