2 Arrested in Prostitution Sting

The arrests took place near Enright Park in Manchester, New Hampshire

Two men from Manchester, New Hampshire were arrested on Thursday as part of a prostitution sting.

Michael Deblasi, 68, and Winston Varnie, 34, were facing prostitution charges after they allegedly solicited a female plain clothes police officer who was walking the streets around Enright Park, located on Laurel and Lincoln streets.

Varnie was arrested around 7:10 p.m. at Enright Park after he approached the officer and solicited her for sex as he sat next to her on a park bench. 

Deblasi was arrested around 9:20 p.m. in the area of Maple and Manchester streets after he stopped his Mercedes and engaged in a conversation with the plain clothes officer, soliciting her for sexual favors.

Both men were released on $500 personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to appear in Manchester District Court on Sept. 10.
