2 NH Residents Arrested on Heroin Charges in Maine

Police say one of the people arrested may be responsible for two recent overdoses

Two New Hampshire residents have been arrested in heroin trafficking charges in Maine, including a man police say may be responsible for two recent overdoses.

Police say 29-year-old Jeffery Ansello and 44-year-old Angela Whiting, both of North Hampton, New Hampshire, were arrested Saturday in Kittery at a U.S. Route 1 convenience store.

Investigators say they also had two grams of heroin on them.

Police say Ansello is also a suspect in at least two recent overdoses. Chief Theodor Short says neither overdose was fatal.

Both are being held on at the York County Jail on $2,500 bail. It could not be determined if they had lawyers.
