(NECN) - Aaron Hernandez will be back in front of a judge Friday afternoon. The former Patriot will appear for a pre-trial hearing.
Hernandez has plead not guilty to the June murder of Odin Lloyd.
Prosecutors are looking to gain access to recordings of conversations Hernandez allegedly had while in custody. In those conversations, Hernandez allegedly discusses the case with friends using code words.
Prosecutors believe those recordings will reveal information about the death of Odin Lloyd.
They have also asked the Bristol County Sheriff to release records of who exactly has visited Hernandez at the jailhouse.
Authorities also believe Hernandez may be involved in a 2012 double shooting in South Boston, though he has not yet been charged in that crime.
