3 Pedestrians Hit by Car in Boston's Dorchester Section

The accident occurred in the area of Seaver Street and Blue Hill Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday

Police say three pedestrians, including a 10-year-old girl and a man in a wheelchair, were injured after they were struck by a vehicle in Boston's Dorchester section.

The accident occurred in the area of Seaver Street and Blue Hill Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the victims are a 10-year-old girl, her 40-year-old father and a 22-year-old family friend who is in a wheelchair.

A witness told officers the victims were crossing the street when a motorist slowed down to let them continue before abruptly accelerating and striking the trio. The driver remained at the scene and no charges have been filed as of Tuesday night.

The girl's injuries were minor but her father suffered severe head and face injuries. The extent of the 22-year-old victim's injuries is unknown.
