A Maine man died in a fire in his house, authorities said Thursday.
Maine State Fire Marshals say 74-year-old Clifford Lambert's body was found in his kitchen when firefighters responded to the fire Thursday afternoon on Central Street in Bucksport.
According to investigators, the cause of the fire, which started in the living room, is likely smoking. There was heavy fire damage in his living room and smoke and water damage to the rest of the ranch-style home, where Lambert lived alone, officials said.
