Boa Constrictor Captured in Dartmouth, Mass.

    (Published Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016)

Police captured a six foot boa constrictor on Memorial Ave. in Dartmouth, Massachusetts on Saturday evening.

Members from the Dartmouth Police and Fire Departments assisted animal control in capturing the snake.

Because New England isn't a boa constrictor's natural habitat, officials assume it's a pet.

Police ask if anyone has information that can help in locating the snake's owner, to call (508) 910-1700.
