Authorities have identified the body seen floating in a culvert Thursday near a trail in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
The body of Jeffrey Wolk Jr., 29, was found at about 3 p.m. near the Old Eastern Marsh Rail Trail off Mudnock Road by a passerby, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Wolk was positively identified by the tattoos on his body, according to police. His last known address was in Newburyport, but he also had ties to Salisbury and Amesbury.
Officials said the body appeared to have signs that it was in the water for an extended amount of time.
Investigators do not suspect foul play but the matter remains under investigation by Salisbury police and detectives assigned to the district attorney's office.
