It's called the Boston Fire Department's most important day of the year.
Firefighters gathered Sunday at Forest Hills Cemetery for the 125th Memorial Service to remember those firefighters who died in the line of duty.
Friends and family gathered at the event in Jamaica Plain on what is a very emotional day.
"It's the one day a year we come to honor those who have gone before us," said Lt. Mark Sanders.
