    Woman Killed in Brockton Crash

    Fire officials confirmed a 57-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash after she became entrapped once crashing into a pole.

    A woman was killed in a single-car crash Thursday morning in Brockton, Massachusetts.

    Fire officials confirm a 57-year-old woman was entrapped after crashing into a pole. Crews were on the scene near the intersection of North Main and Wilder streets around 9:45 a.m.

    Firefighters from Avon and Brockton freed the driver, who was unconscious. CPR was performed and she was taken to a hospital by ambulance before she was pronounced dead.

    Authorities did not release the name of the driver.
