Employee Accused of Plating Camera in Bathroom

An employee was suspended by a Stop & Shop in Framingham, Massachusetts, after being accused of putting a camera in a bathroom.

A worker has been suspended after a camera was placed in the bathroom of a Massachusetts Stop & Shop store, the supermarket chain confirmed Thursday.

Spokesperson Phil Tracey says the camera was found in an associate-only bathroom at the store on Temple Street in Framingham, noting that customers do not have access.

"Nothing is more important to Stop & Shop than the safety and privacy of its associates," Tracey said in a statement. "We were shocked to learn of the allegations that a store associate attempted to violate the privacy of other associates."

Stop & Shop suspended the associate in question and is cooperating with Framingham police in their investigation, Tracey said.
