Crews continue their cleanup effort Sunday after heavy rains and damaging winds downed trees and limbs, knocking out power to residents across Massachusetts.
Tens of thousands of customers in Maine are still without power. Residents in Connecticut and Rhode Island were affected by the strong winds as well.
Incidents were reported in several Bay State towns, including Lowell, Wilmington, Burlington, and Allston. In total, about 25,000 residents lost power Saturday and overnight. Crews worked throughout the overnight hours to restore electrical service.
In Brighton, a large tree fell on a four-story residential building shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday as a result of the high winds. The tree caused a partial collapse of the fire escape, fire officials said. There were no injuries reported.
In Lowell, a tree crashed through the third floor home just shortly after the residents left. No one was injured. Luckily, the homeowner got up out of bed to go out with his brother before the tree fell.
In Wilmington, several downed wires were left tangled on the ground, blocking people in their driveways. A tree fell on a car driving by. No injuries were reported.

Additional damage was reported in dozens of other communities, including Taunton, Foxborough, Northfield, Falmouth, Brewster, West Springfield and Salem.
In Connecticut, the National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for communities along the Connecticut River, Housatonic River and others as they're expected to crest early Sunday before falling below flood stage later in the day.
