A body was found floating in the Charles River by a Boston duck boat tour on Monday morning.

The body of a missing man was found floating in the Charles River by a Boston duck boat tour on Monday morning, according to authorities.

The U.S. Coast Guard said a Boston Duck Tour boat called in the report of a body in the water. The coast guard said it sent a boat over, but Massachusetts State Police took command of the scene.

State police confirmed the body was spotted by a duck boat driver near the Longfellow Bridge just before 11 a.m.

The body has been identified as a 59-year-old Boston man who had previously been reported missing, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

The man's cause and manner of death will be determined by the state's medical examiner but it does not appear to be the result of foul play, investigators said.

No further information was immediately available.

Duck boats are amphibious tour buses run by privately owned companies that operate historical tours in Boston.
