A former Massachusetts principal and teacher has been taken into custody in Florida as a fugitive from justice on sexual assault charges in New Hampshire.
Richard Brunt, 74, of Lakeland, Florida, was arrested June 26, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Brunt was arraigned in the 10th Judicial Court Bartow on June 28 on multiple counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault that occurred over the past decades.
Brunt declined to voluntarily return to New Hampshire to answer to the charges and is awaiting disposition in Florida. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
New Hampshire authorities have until the end of September to issue a Governors Warrant to have Brunt moved back to New Hampshire by rendition.
