There will be a homelessness awareness forum being held Wednesday afternoon at Fisher College in Boston.
The discussion will be largely focused on the closing of the 100-bed emergency shelter on Long Island.
It has brought new attention to the issue, especially with the start of winter later this month.
The forum, called "Refugees from Long Island," is being held from 12:30 to 1:45 at Fisher College Alumni Hall located at 116 Beacon St.
