A fatal crash Saturday afternoon on Route 4 in Berwick, Maine resulted in the death of four people.
Three individuals were prounounced dead at the scene and a fourth was transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead, according to NBC-affiliate WCSH.
Police say that the crash happened after a driver made an improper pass into the path of another car.
The accident occured around 1:30 p.m. At the time, Route 4 was expected to be closed for "hours" pending an investigation, according to WCSH.
