    Springfield police arrested four men in the area of Spring and Pearl streets after seizing 25 bags of heroin.

    Members of the springfield Police Department Narcotics Unit made the arrest Friday morning.

    Police charged Bryan Fernandez, 22, address unavailable; Isander Gonzalez-Perez, 24, of Spring Street; Jason Owen, 34, of Holyoke; Hector Padilla, 49, of Worthingston Street, all face charges of drug possession. Fernandez and Gonzalez-Perez were additionally charged with distribution of Class A drugs (two counts), and conspirary to violate drug laws.

    Officers and detectives arrested Padilla on Frost Street and seized 9 bags of heroin. Following that arrest, police arrested Owen "after seeing him drop two bags of heroin in front of officers at Spring and Pearl streets," according to a police press statement. Police arrested Fernandez and Gonzalez-Perez in the same area.

    The unit was under the direction of Lt. Lawrence Murphy and assisted by various other department personnel and officers.
