Vermont State Police are investigating a fatal crash.
On Friday around 3:15 p.m., police responded to the report of a crash on Interstate 91 northbound in Norwich.
Investigation reveals David Stefanik, 54, of Florida, was driving a tractor trailer when it became disabled with flat tires. He pulled over and placed hazard markers around the vehicle and was standing at the rear driver side of the truck when a log truck operated by 23-year-old Mason Morissette of Maine sideswiped Stefanik and his vehicle. Stefanik was killed in the crash.
Morissette has been charged with grossly negligent operation causing a fatality. He will appear in court on Sept. 29.
