A Maine man was killed late Wednesday night in a one-car crash in Veazie.
The accident took place at mile 189 in the northbound lanes of the interstate just after 11 p.m.
The 2003 Mitsubishi went off the road and struck a tree. The vehicle overturned at least once.
50-year-old Kendall Gordon, Jr. of Brewer was thrown from the car and died at the scene.
The likely cause of the crash was speeding.
