A judge has ruled that a man accused of trying to run over a gas station manager after he wasn't hired isn't competent to stand trial.

The Concord Monitor report s 41-year-old William Soler will remain jailed for up to 90 days to allow for a doctor to determine the appropriateness of treatment.

Police said in August, Soler was upset about not being hired at a Concord gas station and told the manager the gas pumps were damaged. When the manager went to check, police said Soler tried to run him over. He struck a barrier, then went to police to turn himself in.

Soler has previously been found incompetent to stand trial in past cases.

All 18 men's beards studied by researchers at Switzerland's Hirslanden Clinic had higher levels of bacteria in them, compared to only 23 out of 30 dogs. Some beards had so much beard bacteria the men could get sick, the study says.
