While most of the nation watches Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on Groundhog Day, the eyes of Massachusetts turn to Lincoln.

That’s where Ms. G, the official groundhog of Massachusetts, makes her prediction.

Just after 10 a.m. at Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm, Ms. G emerged from her cage. At that very moment morning clouds parted and sunshine emerged, revealing a shadow.

Onlookers let out audible gasps as it was announced Ms. G expects six more weeks of winter.

Over the last 10 years of forecasts, Ms. G has a 64% success rate according to the Blue Hill Observatory, which tracks the data.
