    New Hampshire Woman Facing Assault Charges in Alleged Hate Crime Towards Lodge Patrons

    A New Hampshire woman is facing charges in connection with an alleged hate crime at a lodge in Jackson, according to the attorney general's office.

    Priscilla Protasowicki, 32, of Jackson, was indicted July 20 on two counts of simple assault. The charges carry a possible maximum sentence of five years in the New Hampshire State Prison.

    The attorney general's office said while working at the Covered Bridge Riverview Lodge, Jackson allegedly assaulted two patrons and tried to remove them due to their religion and nationality.

    It's unclear when the alleged incident took place.
