NH Woman Punched in the Face During Robbery

The victim said she was in her car when an unfamiliar woman entered the vehicle and struck her

Laconia Police are investigating the assault and robbery of a woman.

Officials responded to a report of an assault in the Vista Foods parking lot near Laconia Rod and Gun on Feb. 19. Officers were alerted that a woman had been punched in the face.

The victim said she was sitting in her car when an unfamiliar woman got into her car from the passenger side door. The assailant struck the woman in the face and stole some of her belongings, including her car keys.

The victim was then taken to Laconia Regional General Hospital to be treated for facial injuries.

The attacker was last seen running up South Main Street towards downtown Laconia. She is described as a woman in her late 20's or early 30's with a medium build, brown hair, lip ring, black sweatshirt, black knit cap and was possibly carrying a backpack.

Detectives think there may have been many witnesses to the crime who were in the surrounding area. Police request that anyone with information about the incident contact Laconia Police at 603-524-5252 or give an anonymous tip by calling 603-527-1717.
