Forget about April 20. Marijuana liberation day in Massachusetts is now Dec. 15.
"This is one of the best days I've had in a very long time," said Mark Reeves of Boston. "Finally, we get to enjoy what God put here for us."
And what better way is there to start enjoying weed than growing your own? At Boston Gardener, a shop in the city's Roxbury neighborhood, owner Jonathan Napoli says he has everything you need to get your green thumb planting.
"We've seen a huge uptick in the amount of customers coming in, looking to start their home garden for the first time," he said.
The store doesn't sell marijuana plants, but it does have soil, tents and all the equipment needed to grow indoors.
"Alls you need is the sun, dirt and water, but inside you're going to need a lot more than that," Napoli said. "You're going to control your own environment, creating the outdoors inside."
It's not cheap or easy. Napoli says it's very time consuming, and getting started could cost you $1,000 minimum.

"But once you get it started, the costs go down from there, and the benefits go up" he explained.
The $800 LED lights didn't deter Reeves from dishing out the cash to start his indoor garden.
"I look at it as an investment," he said. "I don't have any problem investing one time."
After four months of growth, he'll be smoking his earnings.
