A Chelsea, Massachusetts, woman is facing charges after allegedly making up a story that she was attacked.
Police say Denissa Perez told them she was assaulted by three men Sunday night.
Perez claimed she was punched, kicked and slashed with a knife in the area of the Lynn Street extension.
After police looked into the incident, they say they found out that she made the incident up.
Police say they learned Perez was actually hurt while trying to break up a fight.
