Three men were arrested on charges of armed robbery and assault and battery on Cape Cod early Saturday morning after a man was beaten in what police said was possibly drug-related activity.
Officers with the Sandwich Police Department saw people running from two cars parked on Tarragon Drive toward a home when the officers arrived at 12:35 a.m., according to a Sandwich police news release.
The man who was beaten told officers that three men in one of the vehicles jumped him, police said. One man allegedly held a knife to the victim's throat and ripped his necklace off him, and all three men involved allegeldy kicked and punched him.
Police arrested 18-year-olds Hector Flores, Jorden Maclur, and Tyler Noe. All three men are Wareham residents, according to the news release; it wasn't immediately clear if they had attorneys.
Flores is charged with armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of Class C drug. Maclur and Noe are both charged with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The incident was the result of "a possible drug meet up," police said.
"This was not a random incident and the parties involved are known to each other," police said in the statement.
