Police Capture 2, Search for 1 Armed Robbery Suspect Who Bound Hands, Feet of Victim

Police in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood have arrested two out of three armed robbery suspects who allegedly bound the hands and feet of their victim.

Police in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood have arrested two out of three armed robbery suspects who allegedly bound the hands and feet of their victim.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the report of an armed robbery near Jewish War Vets Drive inside the Franklin Park Golf Course.

The victim told police three suspects followed him and pushed him to the ground. They brandished knives and bound the victim's hands and feet before taking his possessions and fleeing, according to police.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspect flee on foot towards the Shattuck Hospital. Officers observed the suspects walking in Jamaica Plain soon after. They ran when they saw officers approaching them, but two out of three of the suspects were taken into custody.

Rafaek Motas-Pena, 21, and a 13-year-old juvenile male are both charged with assault with intent to murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

Motas-Pena was arraigneed in West Roxbury Municipal Court and was held on $50,000 bail. He will return to court on Nov. 3.

The 13 year old was held on $10,000 bail after his arraignment in Suffolk County Juvenile court. If he posts that amount, he must stay away from the victim, his co-defendant, and Franklin Park, and must wear a GPS monitor. He will appear in court again on Oct. 24.

Boston Police continue their search for the third suspect.
