New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Victor Muzzey's cruiser was hit on I-93 in Thornton, allegedly by a woman under the influence of a controlled medication.

Police say a woman was under the influence of drugs when she slammed into a cruiser in which a trooper was sitting on I-93 in Thornton, New Hampshhire.

Sgt. Victor Muzzey had stopped a different car on the highway when police say 62-year-old Katherine Dangelo of Lincoln hit his patrol car around 4:15 p.m. Police had been warned about a minute earlier that her Ford Explorer had been weaving in and out of traffic.

Dangelo and Muzzey were both taken to Speare Memorial Hosptial with minor injuries.

According to police, Dangelo was under the influence of a controlled medication at the time. She was charged with DWI in the crash.

The suspect was released on bail pending an arraignment on a future date.
