A pickup truck driver and his passenger were killed on May 8 after crashing into a tree on Plain Street.

Stoughton police posted surveillance photo on its social media pages Wednesday of a vehicle believed to be a Subaru Forester Turbo from 2004 or 2005, with a vent in the hood. The vehicle was seen driving away at a high speed, and police believe its driver was a witness to the fatal crash.

"Because of the the public's help we have identified the vehicle. This would not have happened without help from the community," Stoughton police posted on Thursday.
