Police in Lowell, Massachusetts, say reports of sightings of a missing diabetic woman Tuesday were false.
Elga Crespo, 67, has a host of medical issues including diabetes and high blood pressure. She takes 14 medications a day. Her family says she is mentally challenged and extremely shy and that she won't approach anyone for help and if someone approaches her she will back away.
Police previously said Crespo was spotted at a local laundromat and then downtown, but have now said those reports were false.
Police said she's walked off before, but the family said that was only one other time.
