Police: Shots Fired Outside Hotel Near Airport

    Police in Warwick, Rhode Island, are investigating reports of gunfire outside a hotel near T.F. Green Airport.

    Airport authorities called Warwick police shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday to report hearing shots fired near the Comfort Inn off Post Road. Responding officers found a vehicle that had been struck by several bullets in the hotel parking lot.

    Police say they later tried to stop a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting, but it sped off. Authorities didn't release any other details.

    No arrests have been announced, and there are no reports of anyone being injured.
