On Sunday, Fenway Park will be filled with Sox fans and heightened security, and it's a new reality that is getting mixed reviews.
After learning that Fenway was possibly in the sights of the Las Vegas gunman, who sources tell NBC News researched the park and nearby hotels, police are going to have a bigger presence this weekend, with metal detectors and bag checks.
Boston police will also do a full sweep of the park for explosives.
"The world is changing every day and every time we have one these incidents we adjust our security plans and we adjust our policing," officials said.
A tactical team will be inside and outside of the stadium, while there will also be undercover officers monitoring the crowds.
