“Polite Burglar” Returns?

The suspect broke into a home and watched a woman as she slept

A man dubbed the "polite burglar" may be back for more.

Police say a woman who lives on Woodside Road in Winchester, Massachusetts, woke up to a man standing over her.

The woman told the man to leave upon waking up to the unexpected shock. The man complied to her request and left her home.

Police believe this bizarre incident could be connected to similar cases back in September and October. One incident took place in Winchester and the other in Woburn. In those cases, a man matching the suspect's description broke into homes while people were sleeping and stood over their beds. He would apologize and leave when confronted by the homeowner.

He’s described as about 6 feet tall, in his early 20s, with black marks or acne scars on his face.

What’s especially worrying is that he hasn't stolen anything and his intentions are unclear to police.

Police are concerned the suspect could possibly escalate his unusual behavior and harm someone.

No injuries were reported in any of the cases.

Neighbors in Winchester say they're unsettled.

"It's a very strange crime. It would be nice if they found this guy," Maryanne Crockett said.
