A man charged with killing a Sheffield, Vermont, grandmother almost five years ago is planning to change his plea, three months after a co-defendant agreed to testify against him in exchange for reduced charges.
Michael Norrie of Sheffield has a change of plea hearing scheduled for July 21 in Caledonian Superior Court in St. Johnsbury.
The 23-year-old Norrie is one of three men charged in the 2010 killing of 78-year-old Mary "Pat" O'Hagan in her home. He had pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, kidnapping and burglary.
In March, 28-year-old Richard Fletcher of Sheffield agreed to plead guilty to burglary, kidnapping and related offenses in exchange for his cooperation in the cases against Norrie and 34-year-old Keith Baird. Murder charges were dropped.
A trial date hasn't been scheduled for Baird.
