Police: Man Had Nearly 200 Bags of Heroin, Other Drugs

Police in Springfield, Massachusetts, say they found nearly 200 bags of heroin and other drugs after an arrest and subsequent raid on Friday.

Nathaniel Wilson, 39, was arrested at a gas station on Orange Street. Detectives then searched his home on Ranney Street, where they found illegal guns and drugs, authorities said.

According to the Springfield Police Narcotics Unit, Wilson was in possession of 196 bags of heroin and two, illegal 9mm handguns.

Additionally, police found 27 grams of cocaine, 19 Oxycontin pills, 25 capsules of MDMA and 73 pills of Xanax.

Police also confiscated 18 live rounds of ammo.

Wilson faces multiple charges, including two counts of possession of a firearm and trafficking of a class A substance with intent to distribute.

It's unclear if he has an attorney.
