Golfers Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas are returning to Boston to play in this year's Dell Technologies Championship at TPC Boston.
Woods will make his first start at the event since 2013. He won the event in 2006. Woods has also committed to the FedExCup Playoffs’ first event, The Northern Trust.
Defending champion, Justin Thomas, has also committed to the event as he looks to become the first player in PGA Tour history to defend his FedExCup title.
"I’m really excited to get back," said Thomas. "It’s a place that I liked when I first went there even though I didn’t play well the first few years, but I liked the golf course and Jimmy had had some success there with Strick. So that was another comforting factor for me. It’s a fun week. I love the city of Boston, great fans, good sports fans, and should be a good week."
Thomas professes to be an avid Red Sox fan.
The Dell Technologies Championship takes place Aug. 30–Sept. 3. It's the second of four FedExCup Playoffs events.
