Shaheen: I Will Work With Anyone in Senate

Shaheen is the first Democrat to be re-elected to the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire since 1972

The New Hampshire Senate election was called just after 9 p.m. Tuesday and the room erupted with screams and fist pumps for incumbent New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen, the winner of a second term in the U.S. Senate.

But then, as numbers creeped in, challenger Republican Scott Brown seemed to erode that lead, as restless supporters waited.

Her key to victory was the ground game.

Her goal in her second term was to reach across the aisle.

Sheheen said, “I promise you I will work with anyone in the Senate, Democrat, Republican, Independent, to get things done, to help New Hampshire’s working families and our small businesses.”

Shaheen is the first Democrat to be re-elected to the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire since 1972.
