Tom Brady Asked About Report He Bought Mansion in Conn.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was asked Monday about a rumor that he and his wife Gisele Bundchen had purchased a seven-bedroom, 14,862-square foot home in Greenwich, Connecticut.

During an appearance on WEEI's "Greg Hill Show," Brady said he doesn't normally respond to rumors.

"You're so funny," Brady said, laughing, in response to the question.

"It's hard to respond to everything," he continued. "The reality is, I choose to respond to almost nothing... I just don't get into the fray."

A post on the blog Homes of the Rich had said Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, had purchased the stone mansion, built in 1990, that sits on 10 acres of land in the tony suburb that borders New York state. The site did not mention a sale price.

On Monday, Ashley Murphy of real estate company Compass told NBC10 Boston, "The home shown in that blog was not purchsed by Tom and Gisele."

The Patriots quarterback can become a free agent in March. That fact has led to plenty of speculation about his future with the Patriots. Brady last week dismissed such speculation as "just hype."

"Everyone's trying to make money, and that's what it's about," the 42-year-old six-time Super Bowl champion told reporters last Friday.
