New Englanders Brave Cold Snap

(NECN: Kenneth Craig) - It's pretty easy toforget about the bitter cold outside when you're inside the Lavajava Coffeehousein Northboro.

That's where you'll findpalm trees, a light breeze and a lot of locals looking for an escape.

And what better on acold day than a cup of chili or cappuccino.

By late morningtemperatures in Central Massachusetts still hovered below 10 degrees. Combinethat with high winds and you've got one bitter day and some of the coldestfeeling temperatures in the region.

The cold, sure kept thefull-service gas stations busy, a constant stream of cars looking for somebodyelse to do the dirty work.
