Worcester, Mass. Cooling Centers Available to Public

(NECN: Kristen Carosa)- The heat advisory in Worcester, Mass. is expected to last until Friday night.

Worcester has extended the hours for their cooling centers and also prompted the town of Leicester to open cooling centers.

The doors of the Leicester Senior Center will accommodate anyone suffering from the heat.

Dr. Douglas Scudder of St. Vincent Hospital recommends people to stay inside with air conditioning.

Scudder says the elderly, the very young, and people with chronic illnesses are those the greatest at risk.

Something as simple as staying hydrated can keep you relieved.

Kristen Carosa has more.
