MBTA Bus Driver Accused of Assaulting Passenger

An MBTA bus driver is facing assault charges after allegedly using a wooden wheel chock to hit a passenger on the head

An MBTA bus driver is facing assault charges after allegedly using a wooden wheel chock to hit a passenger on the head.

Terri Felix was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Thursday to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Felix told the judge she will retain her own attorney when she returns to court May 21.

Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Felix followed the 52-year-old male passenger off the bus on Dec. 20 after the passenger spat on her. The passenger also faces charges but failed to show up in court Thursday.

Prosecutors say cellphone video shot by another passenger shows Felix using the wooden block, placed under bus tires to stop it from rolling, to strike the passenger, knocking him down.
