Mass. Man Pleads Guilty to Voting Illegally in NH

Lorin C. Schneider Jr. voted in Manchester during presidential elections

A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to voting illegally in New Hampshire.

Lorin C. Schneider Jr. of Carver, who has apparently lived in Massachusetts for more than 20 years, voted in Manchester during the 2012 primary and presidential election, as well as the 2008 presidential election.

Schneider is a registered Democrat in Massachusetts; however, New Hampshire's assistant attorney general says it's not known how he voted in the elections because it wasn't part of the investigation.

Schneider was not legally qualified to vote in the Granite State. He received a prison sentence of one to three years, which was suspended for five years. He was also fined $5,000.

Additionally, Schneider has lost his right to vote in New Hampshire in the future if he becomes otherwise qualified.
