Mendon Man Wins Second $1M Prize on Instant Lottery Ticket

A Massachusetts man has won a $1 million prize on an instant lottery ticket, for the second time in 18 months.

Rolf Rhodes, of Mendon, won his most recent prize in the “$4,000,0000 Instant Jackpot” instant game.

Rhodes purchased his winning ticket at Imperial Gas and Country Store, located at 1 Millville Road in Mendon. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

Rhodes chose the annuity option on his prize and received the first of 20 annual payments of $50,000, before taxes.

The repeat winner won his first $1 million prize in the “Hit $1,000” $10 instant game on May 22, 2018. He opted to receive that prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes. That ticket was purchased in Milford, at Mac Package Store, located at 96 Prospect Street.

Three $4 million prizes and seven additional $1 million prizes are still available in the “$4,000,000 Instant Jackpot” $10 instant game, the Massachusetts State Lottery says.
