(NECN: New Bedford, MA) - Two people are dead as the result of a gas leak in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Police say it happened at 24 Independent Street in New Bedford. Police went into that address to shut down the gas, but were forced to evacuate. Officers are treating the area as a crime scene until further notice.
