(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - The Boston Celtics beat the Chicago Bulls 118-115 to tie the series at one game apiece. Ray Allen hit a three-pointer with just two seconds left in regulation to win the game for Boston.
Doc says that at halftime he asked for "one volunteer to step up and score", and that person ended up being Ray Allen. He says, "That was really terrific. I'm really, really happy for him because he struggled in the first game, he struggled in the first half today, and shooters shoot. They just keep shooting and that was terrific."
Rivers remains confident against the Bulls, saying the team can play better basketball then they have in the first two games.
Game three is Thursday night in Chicago.
