(NECN) - The Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls series is tied at 1-1. If the Celtics want to repeat as champions, they are going to need some of their bench players to step up.
To show how desperate things have gotten for the Celtics, Brian Scalabrine who has not played for a long, long time, due to a concussion, has been working out and may have to put in a lot of minutes in game three. This is not the situation that Doc Rivers and the Celtics want, but they are forced to, due to injuries to Kevin Garnett and now Leon Powe.
Forward Leon Powe is out for the rest of the season with a torn knee ligament. Despite the injuries, Rivers says that winning now will just be all the more sweeter.
So can the Celtics repeat? NECN's Mike Giardi and Chris Collins discuss whether or not the green team has a chance this year.
