(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - One of the biggest mysteries in modern Russian history may have been solved thanks to a researchers at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. For nearly nine decades, no one could locate the bodies of the final heir to the Russian throne -- Crown Prince Alexei and his sister, Grand Duchess Maria.
But, a DNA analysis now indicates that bone fragments found last year probably belonged to the pair.
The mystery began during the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia when the czar and his family were killed.
Sarah Schweitzer wrote about it in The Boston Globe and she joins NECN for this "Talk Around the Globe" segment.
