In late 2012, when Steve Wynn had the vision of a resort casino in Everett, Massachusetts, there were many doubters. And who could blame them?

Last week, despite those obstacles and, perhaps, because of the power of Wynn, Senior Vice President Robert DeSalvio was able to sign Wynn Resorts to an agreement with Everett and the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

DeSalvio is the future operator of the casino. He joins Jim Braude on Broadside to discuss Everett's future as a casino host community.

"I think we're going to be taking the process very seriously. We're going to work collaboritively with the city of Boston for what we need for permitting," said DeSalvio. "We're going to be a great partner for our surrounding communities."
